Maurolou Farm

First on this list is one of the most unique spots to go glamping in RI. Located in Little Compton on a farm, this is the traditional glamping spot in the state! It can host up to six guests at a time and features some beautiful views over the water with an impeccable sunset.

It’s located in a great spot only a short drive to Providence, Cape Cod, Newport, and even Boston. Plus it’s near the beach and many downtown shops. The amenities are great and include just what you’ll need and nothing more. Don’t worry, there is a heater in case you get cold on a summer night.

The inside of the tent is extremely minimal but it’s still beautiful at the same time. There’s a bed that faces the tent entryway that you can leave open to get a beautiful view of the water. There’s also a small deck area with outdoor seating so you can enjoy the breathtaking Rhode Island weather.

Glampsite in Charlestown

Next up is a more traditional cottage located in Charlestown, Rhode Island. It can host up to four guests at a time and is perfect for those who love the beach. In fact, it’s located near some of the best Rhode Island beaches including Misquamicut Beach and East Beach. Plus it’s not that far from the Point Judith Ferry to get to Block Island.

The inside of the cabin feels somewhat like a traditional log cabin, but the floor plan is in an interesting shape. There’s only one bedroom but there are two beds including a sofa bed and a double bed throughout the home.

Because this is more of a cabin, there are tons of amenities that you can find at this location. There’s an outdoor shower, hot water, a TV, air conditioning, and even a kitchen with a coffee maker so you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on the deck.

Richmond Treehouse

Obviously, this list of best glamping in RI would not be complete without including at least one treehouse! So look no further than the Richmond Treehouse which is located right in Richmond, Rhode Island.

It can host up to three guests at a time and is truly a five-star experience! Staying here is genuinely unique and there’s even an elevated walkway to get up to the treehouse. It’s absolutely covered in lights and will take your breath away in the evenings when it’s all lit up. It’s surrounded by the woods it is a classic example of rustic charm. Plus there’s little deck area with outdoor seating so you can enjoy the view.

Guests at the Richmond Treehouse can enjoy amenities including a TV, free Wi-Fi, kitchen, and access to a pool in case they need to cool off!

Holiday Acres Campground

Another glamping experience to consider booking is at Holiday Acres Campground in Rhode Island. It’s located in Scituate and it can sleep up to six people at a time depending on which one you book.

A lot of the cabins can technically be considered tiny homes and they’re absolutely charming and rustic. Some of them look like little shacks while the other ones look like mini-homes. For a real treat, consider booking a stay in the Dollhouse which is a beautiful blue color.

Of course, a glamping stay would not be complete without some amenities right? Guests can enjoy a game room, an adult area with a jukebox and darts, access to a laundry room, horseshoe pits, a huge field, spots to go boating, and more!

Hilltop Tree Farm

Hilltop Tree Farm in Tiverton is a beautiful place to stay if you’re looking to go glamping in RI. It’s near the Fort Barton Woods and can host at the six guests at a time. This is another place sort of similar to Maurolou Farm as it’s truly just a rustic tent with a beautiful view.

It’s surrounded by tons of trees and is located on a family farm. Inside the tent, you’ll just find the basics of what you need for a more elevated camping experience including a bed and seating. Plus there’s also a small deck so you can enjoy the beautiful weather that Rhode Island has in the warmer months.

Because this is more of a laid-back place to stay there are fewer amenities. However guests can enjoy free parking, a barbecue grill, heating, and pets are allowed on the premises. Plus the location is absolutely impeccable and there are many beaches nearby.

Little Compton Cottage

Next is a beautiful Cottage in Little Compton, Rhode Island. While this accommodation may be seen as more of a home, it’s still somewhat of a glamping experience in Rhode Island because of how removed it is. It’s located right along the water and truly feels like a getaway, almost like paradise.

The home features a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and a beautiful covered deck area to keep you safe from summer mosquitoes. Of course, the best thing about the home is the beautiful view that the home has of the water. Imagine waking up and just looking out over a sunrise over the water! 

There are tons of amenities at this cottage, including internet, kitchen essentials like a microwave and coffee maker, washer and dryer, and more. Plus there are tons of activities nearby like whale watching, winery tours, bird-watching, and even hiking. Note that the home does not have air conditioning or heating, which is common among coastal Rhode Island homes and accommodations.

Whispering Pines Campground

Another great spot to rent cabins is at the Whispering Pines Campground which is perfect for those who want a more rustic glamping experience. You don’t necessarily have to stay in a tent to have a glamping experience, right?

There are a variety of cabins to choose from, but most of the most cabins include a full bed or bunk bed, futon, microwave, air conditioning, and more. Plus most cabins will also be right near a picnic table so you could enjoy your meals outside and will have a small deck or patio overlooking the nearby nature.

Note that rates fluctuate throughout the week, and it is more affordable to stay at a cabin during the weekday versus on the weekend. Know that if you were to book a holiday weekend in the cabin as well, the price just about triples. There’s also a two-night booking minimum to stay and guests are expected to bring in their own bedding.

Glamp Frogmore

With a name like Glamp Frogmore, how could you not stay here? This is one of the best spots to go glamping in RI and it is located in Coventry. Up to six guests can stay at this accommodation at a time, making it one of the larger places to stay.

The tent may not look that large from the outside but once you go inside you’ll be amazed at how much can fit in there. There is a big bed and a pull-out couch, plus lots of spots for you to store your luggage including bedside tables and a chest. There’s also a quaint little outdoor deck with seating and a lamp so you can enjoy the view. 

Of course there are also amenities at Glamp Frogmore that include an indoor fireplace, dishes and silverware in case you forget any, a backyard, fire pit, and free parking on the premises. Plus there’s a lockbox that guests can use if needed since the tent isn’t always super secure compared to a home.
