If you’re looking for an indoor water park where the whole family can have fun, look no further than Great Wolf Lodge. Great Wolf Lodge, located just more than an hour outside Boston, is one of the best indoor water parks in New England. The indoor water park features a tube ride, an interactive treehouse, water slides, a lazy river, and more.

There are non-water park activities at Great Wolf Lodge, too. There’s a rock-climbing wall, bowling alley, rope course, and other fun activities for everyone to enjoy. You’ll never forget your time at Great Wolf Lodge!

Water Country in Portsmouth, New Hampshire

If you head to the Seacoast region of the Granite State, you’ll find one of the best outdoor water parks in New England. Water Country opened in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1984 and has been providing tons of family fun ever since.

There’s plenty of attractions for the whole family to enjoy, including rides, slides, pools, and other fun water activities. If you’re brave enough, you can go through Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror or go down the Screamer. Or, if you want to take it easy at Water Country, you can go in the wave pool or hang out on Adventure River. 

Portsmouth is a beautiful port city in New Hampshire, which means there’s plenty of other family-friendly activities to do when you’re done at Water Country. Hampton Beach is only 20 minutes away, so if you can’t get enough of the water, you can always go to the beach. 

Funtown Splashtown USA (Saco, Maine)

This lovely New England attraction is a win-win for families! Located in Saco, just 20 minutes outside of Portland, Funtown Splashtown is both a fun park and water park. The water park has a number of water slides, water rides, and other water-filled fun attractions. You can take a ride down Poseidon’s Plunge and then head to the swimming pool to recoup! 

If you want to take a break from the water park, you can always go to the Funtown side of the park, which has amusement park rides. You can take a ride on the Sea Dragon, Flying Trapeze, or the Excalibur Wooden Roller Coaster to get your thrills. Once you go to Funtown Splashtown, you’ll want to go back every year!

Pump House Indoor Water Park in Jay, Vermont

Located about an hour and a half north of both Burlington and Montpelier, Pump House Indoor Water Park allows you to enjoy water fun year-round. It’s part of Jay Peak Resort, which also has an ice arena, rec center, and, of course, slopes for skiing and snowboarding.

The indoor water park has a bunch of great attractions, including the Double Barrel Flowrider, which is a cross between snowboarding, surfing, and skateboarding. You have to experience it to believe it! 

If you and/or the kids don’t want to ride the Flowrider, there are also waterslides, an activity pool, and a kids’ play area. Once you’re done in the indoor water park, you can enjoy the other amenities the resort has to offer. It’s sure to be a trip you never forget!

Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags New England in Springfield, Massachusetts

One of the most popular water parks in New England and beyond, Hurricane Harbor Six Flags is an absolute blast for anyone seeking water thrills! There’s Cannonball Falls, with a variety of water slides, including the adrenaline inducing open air straight drop that the thrill seekers go after, and plenty of other water slide options.

There’s also an Adventure River, Splash Island, and so many other great water rides for to enjoy. Plus, you’ve got all the rest of the amusement park to check out, too. This is one of those New England water parks that has something for everyone!

Wicked Waves Water Park in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts

Looking to cool off at a Cape Cod water park? Wicked Waves Water Park is a part of the Cape Cod Inflatable Park, and it’s a great family park. Not only is there a water park with water slides, a Toddler Bay mini water park, water obstacle course, Kraxy River (lazy river), and more, but there’s even an aqua bar for the grown ups!

It’s located at the Cape Cod Inflatable Park and is a part of the Cape Cod Family Resort property, so it’s a very convenient water park for families with little ones! You can just pop back over to your room for nap time, then head back over to the park afterwards. This is the kind of New England water park that’s perfect for little ones!

 

Quassy Amusement & Water Park in Middlebury, Connecticut

You’ll find one of the best water parks in New England in the Constitution State. Quassy Amusement & Water Park is located in Middlebury, which is about 40 minutes outside of Hartford. There’s plenty of water park fun to be had here! You can buy an all-day pass and enjoy rides like the Tunnel Twisters, the BulletBowl, and Slide City.

Since the water park is part of an amusement park, you can also take some time to go on Quassy’s family-friendly rides. Or, if you prefer to stay close to the water, you can enjoy a number of activities on Lake Quassapaug.

Whale’s Tale Water Park in Lincoln, New Hampshire

This is another one of the best water parks in New England that’s based in the Granite State. If you head to Lincoln, which is located in the White Mountains, you’ll find the incredible Whale’s Tale Water Park. It was actually named one of Trip Advisor’s top 25 water parks in the United States! 

There are many reasons why this is one of the best outdoor New England water parks. The rides are simply incredible, from the Eye of the Storm to the Banzai Pipeline. There’s plenty of water rides the whole family can enjoy. There’s even a full-service restaurant where you can take the family to grab a bite to eat. 

There’s plenty to do in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire, so if you take a trip up there, make sure you plan plenty of outdoor activities along with a trip to What’s Tale Water Park.

Water Park of New England in Danvers, Massachusetts

Another great indoor water park to check out in Massachusetts is Water Park of New England, located in Danvers. Once known as CoCo Key Water Park, there is more than 65,000 square feet of water park fun to check out.

You and your family will have a blast slipping and sliding down the water slides and exploring one of the most fun water parks in the Bay State. Plus, they offer special birthday party packages, so your child can have a birthday party they’ll never forget!

Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut

This is another place in New England where you can visit both an outdoor water park and an amusement park. You’ll find Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut, just about 25 minutes outside of Hartford. Two fun facts: Lake Compounce is Connecticut’s largest water park and the oldest continuously operating amusement park in North America! 

You’ll find plenty of water rides to enjoy, including the Venus Vortex, Tunnel Twisters, and Mammoth Falls. If you need a break from the water park, you can always head to the amusement park and ride the Boulder Dash, Rev-O-Lution, and the Rainbow Riders. This is one water park and amusement park you’ll want to visit time and time again.

Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park in North Conway, New Hampshire (Currently closed due to fire)

If you’re looking for a year-round indoor water park in New Hampshire look no further than Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park in North Conway. It’s located at the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort and has plenty of fun waiting for you and your family. There’s plenty of tubes, pools, slides, fountains, and more to explore at this fun resort. There’s even a hot tub where you can go to relax and an arcade where your kids can have some extra fun. This can be a fun getaway for the whole family, especially during the colder New England months. 

Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire

One of the top amusement parks in the country, Canobie Lake Park is the perfect place for New England water park fun because you’ve got fun both in and out of the water. With over 85 attractions including water park rides and thrill rides, there’s something for everyone at this family park.

The water park section is called Castaway Island, and you’ll find all the standards that make up a fun water park: a tidal wave pool, a lazy river, spray grounds for the little ones, and plenty of twisty and turny water slides! With onsite dining, plan to spend the entire day having summer fun at Canobie Lake Park!

Santa’s Water Park in Jefferson, New Hampshire

For a very unique water park experience in New England, head to Santa’s Water Park at Santa’s Village in New Hampshire. Being a Christmas themed water park, expect lots of whimsical charm! You’ve got the splash pad for little ones, Ho Ho H20, and the interactive family zone, Polar Paradise. You’ve got the JOY Ride Slides that feature three story high water slides, the Merry Mess Hall to refuel at, and Santa’s Cabanas to relax in by the pool!
