Okay, so this one is a little less cabin and a little more vacation rental house, but it should definitely be on your list of possibilities! Located on the quiet side of Bar Harbor, it’s a great spot for a relaxing Acadia getaway.

Plus, this roomy Acadia vacation rental can sleep up to 8, so if you’re traveling with a group, this is an excellent option.

The house has a very comfortable and rustic vibe, with lots of windows with natural lighting. There’s a great dock, too!

19. Bar Harbor Home Near Everything

If you are exploring Acadia National Park with a larger group of people, consider staying at this Bar Harbor cabin! It can sleep ten people a night and has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Like the waterfront Acadia cabin, you have to stay a minimum of seven nights to book a stay here.

The cabin has an open floor plan with high vaulted ceilings and tons of windows for natural lighting. It was purposely built as a retreat and has excellent views of Cadillac Mountain.

There’s a wraparound deck and ample outdoor space with seating and a fireplace. Plus, it’s a short drive to Mount Desert Island!

20. Upscale Log Cabin on Secluded Pond Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor

If you’re looking for great cabins in Acadia National Park, why not stay in an upscale one? Located in Bar Harbor, this log cabin is massive. It has 1,850 square feet, sleeps six people, and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The minimum stay is five nights.

The home features a wraparound deck which the host says is perfect for star-gazing. The host also adds new additions to the house every season, and they have added a kayak that you’re welcome to take and use on the nearby pond.

You could also explore the 10 acres of land that the cabin is located on when you’re not out exploring Acadia National Park!

21. Gladeview: A Craftsman Retreat

Next is Gladeview: a craftsman retreat! Located in Southwest Harbor, this home is an ample 2,280 square feet and can host five guests at a time. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. Guests must book at least a four-night stay to stay here. 

The home’s main feature is the wraparound deck, which is enormous and is the perfect place to relax during the summer. There are also many great rooms in this house, including a fitness room and even a laundry room if you have to do any laundry during your visit to Maine.

22. Acadia Cove Cabin on Somes Sound – Enjoy the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island

This is arguably one of the most picturesque cottages on this whole list! It’s on the quiet side of Mount Desert Island on the border of Acadia National Park.

This Acadia cabin is lovely, but the best part about this vacation rental are the views. I mean, wouldn’t you just love to have your morning coffee while taking in the view above?

24. “Garage,” a Modern Oasis

Here’s a great Airbnb near Acadia National Park that is perfect for families. This luxurious home in Southwest Harbor is truly a unique place to stay. It can host up to eight guests and has four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a patio, a living room, and a full kitchen.

The home used to be an industrial space, which is quite apparent by how the apartment looks. There is elaborate landscaping, birch ceilings, and interesting art throughout the house. 

There are also a wide variety of amenities, including a deluxe gas grill, outdoor art, and a coffee machine. You’ll truly feel like you’re living inside of a museum while staying in this accommodation.

25. Oceanfront on Somes Sound, Acadia National Park ME

When staying in Maine, there’s no better place to be than right on the waterfront. This home is perfectly located for that reason, and it’s situated in Mount Desert on Somes Sound. The house can host up to six guests at a time.

Inside, there are three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a kitchen, workspace, and dining area. There’s even a huge outdoor patio that gives guests the best view of the waterfront. What better place is there to wake up than by taking in a great view?

The home is a mid-century cottage that has recently been updated with brand new beds in addition to other renovations. Rent a kayak to check out the rest of the waterfront!

26. Stunning Waterfront Home Within National Park

With 180 degree views of Somes Sound in Mount Desert, Maine, this just might be the prettiest Airbnb Acadia National Park has to offer. Up to seven guests can stay here, and the home has a very rustic and cabin feel that is great for escaping the city life.

The cabin has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and a big wraparound deck with outdoor furniture. While the house was built in 1972, the home’s interior has a very comfortable and homey atmosphere, and the appliances were updated in 2007.

For a fun time, be sure to go biking, kayaking, or even relax in one of the hammocks in the trees.

You’ve got a ton of options when it comes to places to stay on Mount Desert Island and beyond.

Some prefer to stay on the quiet side of the island, where they can feel a bit secluded from the tourists that make Bar Harbor such a bustling town.
