Of course, you’re also just a quick walk to all kinds of Hampton Beach fun, so camping at Hampton Beach State Park is a great way to get away from it all while still being conveniently near anything you might need!
Lake Massasecum Park & Campground in Bradford
If you want to go camping in New Hampshire at a nice, relaxed campground that offers the true experience of leisurely camping, check out Lake Massasecum Park & Campground in Bradford! Reserve your stay between Mother’s Day weekend and Labor Day, then weekends only until Columbus Day to swim, fish, or just relax back on the sandy shore of this beautiful lake park and enjoy great amenities like restrooms, hot showers, fire pits, picnic tables, and a camp store.
Lake Massasecum Park also offers canoe, kayak, rowboat, and hydro bike rentals, so there are lots of great ways to enjoy the lake here at this beautiful NH campground, but Bradford is also just a quick drive over to NH’s capital Concord, one of the best places to visit in NH; There’s always plenty of fun to be had in Concord!
White Lake State Park in Tamworth
If you’re looking for campgrounds in New Hampshire that are great for summer swimming, check out White Lake State Park, located on the shore of the gorgeous glacial lake this state park is named after. You can reserve a stay between Memorial Day and Columbus Day weekend at this beautiful park where amenities include coin-operated showers, restrooms, a playground, and more.
If you tire of swimming and exploring the trails around the glacial lake during your NH camping trip, North Conway is just a half an hour’s drive up the road with all kinds of fun things to see and do, including a visit to nearby Diana’s Bath’s to see its spectacular cascading waterfalls for yourself! Fuel up at one of North Conway’s best restaurants before heading back to your campsite; pancakes from Peach’s Restaurant might be just what you need!
Israel River Campground in Jefferson

Consider Israel River Campground, where in addition to a beautiful riverfront scenic view in the White Mountains, you’ll also find a pool, areas to play volleyball and horseshoes, a playground, and a great spot to go fish! Amenities are fantastic with restrooms, showers, a general store, campfires and picnic tables at every site, and there’s even an indoor recreation room with a pool table, arcades, and books.
